Just a few highlights from the past year! Thanks ya'll for coming along for the ride :)

After the party...

Christmas was wonderful! The kids had a wonderful time, and so did Brice and myself. Everyone got all they wanted, which is unusual. I got a new Mac Book, something I have wanted for a while. Paige got a WII, which the whole family loves. Kel got a Barbie Mustang she likes to cruise around in. I actually don't know who was more excited on Christmas morning. I kept waking up at odd hours to see if they were up.

Not much craftiness going on. Our secretary is off this week and I have to fill in for her. I don't mind, but it kind of sucks because I want to be crafty.I have got some sneak peeks of a quilt I am doing:

I am already sewing the binding on. This is Paige's nap quilt. I already made one for Kel. YEs, they do still take naps, especially on the weekends. I like to join them too. There is nothing like being surronded by 2 little "heaters" on a winter's day.

Merry Christmas!

Only 9 days until Christmas!!!!

Sorry to leave ya'll hanging! Over the past week we have been sick, sewn 8 pleated skirts, attended a Christmas play, attended a Christmas party, and just slept in whatever hours there were left. I am so glad to be back on a somewhat normal schedule!

In the meantime, I haven't done much. Yesterday was the first "crafty" time I had, and I started on 2 projects. Please excuse my pics, they are a bit blurry due to NO sun in the past 2 weeks.

I started these after receiving my Stocking Full O' Cheer swap from Traci. (see pics below) I am trying to just figure it out as I go. I have ideas for arms and a dress. Hopefully they will turn out ok. I also started a scarf that I could not get a good pic of. Oh well, maybe tomorrow!

These were a part of my sweet swap package that I got. It also had a paper snowflake, CD, and some of her patterns, and candy. I can't wait to try them out :)

And this is what I have bought in the last month! I binge on fabric, and am kinda ashamed to say I have more on the way!

And guess what! This is my 95th post. I am gonna have to plan something big for my 100th. I can't believe I have been doing this for a year and a half now. Oh, and I forgot! We made an offer on 57 acres of land today! If accepted, we will start building our house in the spring! YAY!

O' Christmas Tree

I finally decorated our poor tree last night. It's been up since Sunday. Better late than ever, right?
Thanks again for all the comments. You have until midnight tonight central US time to sign up and I'll be picking the winners tomorrow morning. For now I want to show off my Christmas shelf.

OK-I have to get ready to be the boss' wife at our Christmas party tonight. It makes me nervous. Do people like "the boss' wife"? I know most of the guys, but the wives make me nervous. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I have had a wonderful and busy Thanksgiving weekend, and I hope you all have had a great one too. It has taken me a few days to recuperate. Saturday night we stayed up until 2 am playing Rook after Brice's family's dinner. It has been a long time since I stayed up that late. We got our tree and are going to be decorating it tonight. I can't wait!

I got crafty last night and made a couple of things,

These dishtowels are for my partner in the Holiday Traditions Swap hosted by sewliberated:

I got the fabric ink from here and the stamps are Martha from Wally World.

Then I made this wreath:

It's just linen wrapped around and then mod podged to keep it from fraying. It's embellished with crochet flowers from here, ric rac, and buttons. I kept seeing all these beautiful handmade wreaths at flickr and had to try one. It's also based a bit on Katy's tutorial.

Brice said it looked "old fashioned" which is a bad thing to him. It took all my might not to slap him around a bit. I told him the people on the internet would set him straight. So far on flickr they have.
