I think I was complaining about what a rough week I had a couple of posts ago. Goodness. It can't even compare to the Saturday I had last week. The day started with Paige breaking 3/4 of her front permanant tooth off, requiring an emergency dentist visit. I went in my ratty shirt that I never wear out and thought that at least the day couldn't get worse than that. I was so wrong. About an hour after we had gotten home, I was putting up some dishes when I dropped them and somehow cut my thumb. I wasn't thinking straight and thought, OK, slap a band aid on it. Ha. I then looked at it. This was a serious cut. I was able to see things that I shouldn't be able to. Started to get hot and sweaty, called my Dad, called my husband to come home, and spent the next few hours getting 12 stitches in my thumb. 12.
So, I also had scheduled my Tastefully Simple party for that night. I attended in a ratty shirt, no makeup, flat, unfixed hair, and told everybody that if they didn't like it, they could leave. (might have been the pain meds)
The week has gotten better since then, but it is definitely not going to be forgotten for a while.
Postage Stamp Quilt Update:
I am currently sewing the rows together and WILL get done tonight. It's turning out really well. Can't wait to be done with it though.
Have a great day ya'll! I hope you have better luck than me!

oh no - that sounds horrible! What a day...and I can't imagine how you could fit 12 stitches on a thumb - must have been deep! Hope your week is really, really great :-)

You poor thing - and Paige! That postage stamp quilt does look amazing, though

What, 12 stitches? That must have been painful, most especially when you took Paige to the dentist. How are you guys, BTW? I hope you now feel better. Be more careful next time, okay? =)
