My craft/sewing room is a mess. I like to cram as much stuff into it as I can. The other day I just couldn't take it anymore and decided to just stop what I was doing, and organize.
I started with the fabric closet.
Lovely, huh? I must first state that I had already taken a load of fabric out and that doesn't include the overflowing chair-full in the corner, or the cutting table. I am also trying to figure out how the Lost DVD ended up in there? Was I jonesing for some Sawyer goodness and just stuck it there? Anyway, I am making my fabric nice and pretty. Like this:
(And I need a new ironing board cover, eww!) It's taking me forever. Mostly because my baby can't come into the sewing room with me. She snuck in here a couple of months ago, and get this, climbed on a can to the chair, to the cutting table, all the way down it, and was playing with the open rotary cutter and an overturned box of pins. Laughing. Since then, we keep it locked. When she does get in here, she tries to touch everything dangerous. Turn machine on. Scissors. Seam ripper. Try to pull iron on head. She has tried to do it all. So this project is only happening at naptimes and night. I may never get done!
Have a great day ya'll!

Wow--are you sure you didn't sneak into my house to take that picture of the fabric closet?!?!

oh bless what a little troublemaker you have there! good luck with the sorting out. I have been tiding up my crafts and my books... its not easy.. though I do seem to calm down and zone out while I'm tidying and I feel calm and peaceful... and I normally have a cup of coffee or tea by my side.
p.s. love that measuring tape fabric. It's ace!

Whoa, that's a lot of fabric! You better get those organized, girl. But I think it might be difficult to keep them neatly folded and ironed that way. Well, you just have to cut yourself some slack. I mean, the craft room is where all the "art" happens, right? So, a little disorder there is forgivable. But all other places should be squeaky clean! ;)

That closet is a really mess, surely needs an order and put all the fabrics in line, when you see all that mess you don't even have the mood to work on your project. With all the clutter in order now, you must have big projects in your ind, we can't wait for big news and pls share with us.
